I am a single grandmother. I am writing because I have bills I am trying to pay and medicine that I need and I do not have the funds to pay for. I take care of my granddaughter. She has lost both parents her father in a car accident and her mother died from lupus. I am trying very hard to keep a roof over our heads and it is hard right now. I am not working. I have been home sick since April and I cant work because I am sick. I need assistance for my rent and utilities. I lost my car because I couldnt afford to pay the car note when I became ill and pay for doctors visits anf medication. I recently recieved an eviction notice and I have to pay by Dec. 23,2011 or move. I dont have anywhere else to move. Please help any way you can.

Iam newly diable with no medical insurance.mt wife makes little money.My childern need clothes and shoes. I need medical care I can not get that would possibly get me to a point i could find some kind of employment. I lay here in pain everyday in a wheelchair everyone has to do form and I can hardly do anything my self.I have been to 6 doctors to try to get them to look at the several peoblems i have with no resalts thay are full of excuses. the one place that will wont see me without insurance.my job as a father is to provide for my family, How do the governmen expect me to do that  when all the rule for medical care and ass conterdict each other to put the person try to survive iv the posion of what can i do. Thay wonder wy suicide rate is so high. On top of that my childern will have no xmas.

I am a senior citizen and I am having a serious problem. I just relocated from Louisiana and as of today's date I have not been able to find a job of no kind. I have been looking for part time or full time employment.

I am in dire need to have my telephone and utility bill paid by the end of this month. I have tried every resource that I was told to call with the exception of food stamps. I have been blessed to get some assistance with food.. All of the charity organizations have no money an I need some assistance.

Would you please assist me immediately and I have never had to do this before but right now I have no where to turn.   Thanks for quick assistance.

Dear Sir: I know you are one heck of a busy man, but I hope you can take a couple of minutes on this. My wife and I have been married 42 years, We are both on disablilty, Both on medicare, I just got her out of the hospital a few days ago for her second heart surgery. She is ok but that is not the problem,this is, All of the test doctors before surgery is what took all the money I had for co-pays and now it is the same with after surgery expenses. It never ends but what I am asking if there is any way to get any financial help in this state. I applied for loans, church help, DFACS, free money onthe web, thats a JOKE,loan sharks, I dont know who else , i LIVE  AT 553 Sunnyside Ct. BoxSprings, Georgia 31801,David Dickson. I have gone on the web only to find Marion County is the worst county in the state for funds, for anything.Unfortunatly at present I am behind on my rent, phone, power bill, everything, no food, We get food stamps, $16 a month, there was supposed to be an increase of $44 in 2009,but I guess that never made it to Marion County.With all this in mind, I do have another question, away from my problems, Why do we go to war, spend billions,this I agree with but I do not under stand why our country goes back there and spends billions again to reguild what we just blew up. I am 63 years old and have never seen any country come over here to help with anything they have blown up. Put that money into yours and my forefathers well being,they made this ,so it looks like when you get old, retire,  get on disability, after working your BUTT off for years and years you are just put out to pasture to die, but that cost too much. If there is any sugesstions please reply. Thank you.

I am writing to hopefully bring a few important issues to your attention in regards to low income single mothers who are also sucessful recovering meth addicts. June 26, 2004 was the last day I have been a meth user and the first day I was a recovering addict. I did my jail time, sucessfully completed an in house rehab and completed the terms of my probation. It took me several months to find a job close enough to walk due to my driving priviledges being suspended. I worked hard for this company but unfortunately became a victim of sexual harrassment which ended in my loss of employment. Now, a single mother who recieves no help at all from the father, and very limited assistance from any other agency my criminal past still haunts me. I have worked so hard to remain drug free but it seems the punishment I was sentenced to was not enough. I have looked for over 2 yrs for a job and recieve enough food stamps for about 10 days to feed my sons since I have a lifetime ban and will never be eligible. I am to the point now my lights are soon to be disconnected and I went to bed hungry so my sons would not. I have been enrolled in college seeking a BS in psychology with the hope of helping other addicts when I complete my courses. I was allowed to draw UI benefits for approximately 14 months and was not eligible for them to continue while I went back to school because I already had an AA in computer programming. I think more help should  be available for those who have proved they want to live as a productive member of society. I just get tired of doors slamming in my face every way I try to go. I dont want to live on the benefits of welfare forever but getting a little help up would sure make the way less stressful.

To whom this may concern.  I am writing on several issues.  I have been online all day trying to look for resources that can help me in my situation.  First I want to say that I am a hard working single black mother with 3 beautiful children that I try so despirately to take care of.  My income for 3 children is way below poverty level.  I honestly don't know how we get by some months.  I have been looking for other resources out there or charities that maybe can help me out a little.  I work too hard to be in the situation that I am in.  My oldest daughter is in college starting on her 3rd year.  We were denied food stamps and I can't understand for the life of me why?  So I have to sacrifice and was working full time and part time to buy food.  My second youngest daughter just graduated, and she will be going off to college next month .  I don't have the resources to buy hardly any of her school supplies and things she will need for college.  I barely got her gas money to go back and forth to the school to take the placement testing.  I do support education and I want my children to get the advantage that I did not get.  I had to pay her housing deposit. just recently and the child support order was stopped because they are 18.  My 18 year struggled and was just recently diagnosed with ADHd.   My son has not had the easiest year either, he was diagnosed last year with seizure disorder and suffered a grand mal seizure where he had to be hospitalized.  I can not get ahead for nothing.  My son has had numerous hospitalizations and ER visits due to bronchitis and pneumonia from the mold that was inside the house that I was renting for 600.00 a/month.  I see so many people that don't work and get food stamps and abuse the system.  They don't take care of the kids, and just sit home and wait on welfare to take care of their needs.  I am not that type of person....I really do need the help, but I am always denied.  Right now I am having to stay with a friend because I can't find a decent affordable place to rent.  After my divorce from my children's father  abusive.  I had to pack up and just leave my home and move so that I could try and start all over.   Well this caused me some credit problems so it is almost impossible for me to find a decent place to rent.  I have tried to apply for loans, grants to help put my daughters through school, and assistance with medical bills that are becoming outrageous and I feel like all hope is gone because it seems like every door that I think is being opened is shut. (or should I say slammed).  I know that my children are eligible for scholarships, and grant money that I hear is out there, but why is it that I am constantly turned down... This is why I can't get ahead because the system is so backwards for people that are really trying like me.  I am told that my income is too high.  I work as a medical assistant, I am a single mom with 3 children and 2 of which that are in college.  How can my income be too high when I am below poverty level.  I am so nervous because my son is going to have surgery.  His pre-op is scheduled for next week and I am over my head with medical bills.  Bill collector's constantly call me but I am doing all I can to keep my head above water.  I have applied for assistance all day today because I will have to be out with my son after his surgery and most of my PTO is used.  He has peachcare for kids but I am having to take him to augusta for treatment because the Orthopedic Clinic here would not accept his peachcare and I had to pay 200.00 up front at his first visit and still paying on that same visit.  Since then he has had a right humerus fracture one in february where he fell on the playground; and he just recently fell and broke his humerus a second time at camp both times he was not at home but I am having to pay out of my pocket the expenses that I feel like someone should have at least offered to help with gas.  I am so tired of being discriminated against and mistreated.  I don't know what else to do other than send this email.  I can only pray that It will reach someone with a good heart that will at least send me information on resources so that I can get a decent place to live.  Get some kind of resources for people in my situation that can't seem to get any help.  To resources finding a place for me and my children.  Information on scholarships and grants for african american or minorities pursuing education, and some assitance with my medical bills for my 6 year son.  Like I said I see people in nice houses that are on section 8 and other government programs.  I don't even want to be on section 8 I will pay my full rent, but because of my past credit history no one wants to give you a second chance.   This is all backwards.  It's not that I refuse to pay it is that I don't have it to pay.   I paid my tithes and offering at church and I just feel in my heart that a blessing is on its way, but in the meantime I had to send this email and only pray that it reaches the right people so that I can get some help for my children.  I can't work the part-time job anymore because of my son's illness.  I tried applying for some type of disability for him and get some resources for my daughter who has adhd, but again I was denied anything.  I am paying for peachcare and right now my oldest daughter doesn't have any insurance.  I just have to pay out of pocket when she gets sick and I need to take her to the doctor.  She suffers from bronchitis and asthma.   Their father decided he did not want to be married and I'm left to do almost everything and I am getting mentally and emotionally tired and drained.  Please if there is anyone out there that can help me please....don't do it for me.  Please help my children.  Thanks

Dear Honorable Sirs and Madams

I am a 60 year old female, who has no income.  I have no income because I am awaiting a hearing for disability.  I am also unable to work.  I was a nurse.  I have come to find out what it is to be homeless and to have almost beg for help that never is realized.  I am living with my daughter, her husband, and their 5 children in a 2 bedroom rental.  Yes, its crowded but we are family.  My son-in-law recently had a stroke and is disabled.  He is waiting to hear some news from disability.  My daughter is a stay home mother, with 5 gilrs, ranging from 4 years old to 12 years old.  We need a break.  We need people in positions at the Housing Authority to look at our situation and throw our application in the trash.  We need Social Security to stop yanking us around when we are in need of help.  The little person has no voice anymore in government.  The poor has been replace by the middle class (who are now the poor).  What will you do when all the poor is gone, use the people who are millionaires as the poor.

Allow me to thank you for your time in reading this.  I do not expect anything will come of it though.  However, I pray that God will work on someone's heart and mind in our government.

I am a mother and wife of 2 small children and a husband.  We are struggling really bad.  The doctors tell me that I shouldn't be working because I have several medical problems.  But when I apply for SSDI they say I don't have enough work hours or whatever to be able to eligable for it.  If your disabled then how do they expect us to get those hours?  I am 20 years old and I've had a job for a little but apparently not enough to get SSDI because I can't work now.  Also I was going to go back to college but I was penalized for something that wasn't my fault and I'm being held accountable for it which is totally wrong because I was doing all I could to pass college then my computer gets stolen and the cops wont do anything about it.  We have such a broken Government system and I would have liked for my computer to have either been found or another purchased for me.  I can't afford $1200 for another one that the police just let walk away.  So anyone else know where I'm coming from?

I need help getting the VA to give me the 100 percent that i'm supose to be recieving. I have been diagnosed with pretty much every ailment  listed in the "Gulf War Syndrome" by both private and VA doctors. While an inpatient at  Montrose VA  medical facility for chronic PTSD, Fibromyalgia, IBS, Flashbacks, Miigrains, Tinnitis, Bad and violent  recurring dreams, seisures, cold sweats, hearing and  vision loss, sugar diabetes etc., the doctors told me that i was more than 100% service connected permanenty disabled and my condition is chronic and i can ever return back to work. They also told me that i should recieve 100% disability but the VA will make me fight for it even though their own doctors diagnosed me with permanent chronic Gulf war syndrome. I did a lot for my country over seas while proudly serving my country as a combat soldier in the millitary and i also went back over there to work for Black Water as a body guard for Halley Burton. I  didn't complain then and i will do it again if i was able mentally ad physically. I'm unable to pay my rent and utility bills with what the VA calls a Pension. Child suport takes almost all my SSD. I' m soon to be homeless again and i'm having thoughts of suicide. I'm a home person who hardly ever goes out.. I just want to be able to pay my rent/mortgage and bills and have some food to eat . I'm not asking for any handouts, i just want the VA to do the right thing and make the right decision on my claim. It's allready wellknown by the VA Doctors in NY and Georgia that I am 100% service connected permanenty disabled. Why won't  the VA  listen to the doctors and decide  in my favor so i can keep my home and try to live what's left of my life as normal as i can. Please Please please someone help me.
